Executive Chef - Richard Fletcher
With over 20 years of industry experience, Richard Fletcher serves as executive chef at South City Kitchen Avalon.
Fletcher began his career in the Big Apple after graduating from the New York Institute of Technology in Culinary Arts. He went on to further develop his culinary skills at several restaurants from casual and fine dining experiences to a private beach community before moving down south to Atlanta.
There, he gained experience at a high-volume, off-site catering company, as well as at boutique, four- and five-star luxury hotels: Pacci Ristorante at The Hotel Palomar, Briza at The Renaissance Atlanta Midtown, Paces 88 at The St. Regis Hotel and Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter. In December of 2017, he was part of the pre-opening team at South City Kitchen in the Hotel at Avalon, and started out as the sous chef.
He quickly worked his way up and is now the executive chef and oversees all kitchen operations, teaches his team food techniques and develops new menu items.
